Introduction

Hi everyone, my name is Ricardo Sepulveda. I am from Santiago de Chile. I am 23 years old, and I am a senior here in UT. I am also playing soccer here in the university, which is the sports that I do since I was 6 years old. Soccer has given me unforgettable memories such as being part of my national team U15 and U17, winning championships, and making friends all around the world. However, when you feel so much love for something or someone there are going to be tough moments that you need to get through. I had an injury in 2017 and I had to be off the field for 7 months. During moments like this I believe is when you learn the most about life. Sometimes we do not appreciate what we have until something happens, and after this event in my life I take every second on the field as a gift that life is giving me. 

I love reading books about psychology, communication skills, and self-realization. I am a big fan of mental health, which I believe is a topic that many people are struggling currently. I believe that when you are in peace and in love with yourself is so much easier to find peace and love in others. 

I have good feelings about this class, I believe that it is going to give me knowledge that I need for what I want to do in the future. Also, media has a big impact in society, what makes this class even more interesting. So, in this class I want to learn how to use different software that are going to be really useful in the future. I cannot wait to practice the skills that we will learn, since practicing and failing are best teacher. 

I also want to learn more about how media is changed over the years. I believe that it is important to know the history of media, so we can understand why it has changed. In addition, we could also predict how it is going to be in the future. Everything is changing very quickly in today’s society, so it is important to stay up to date if we want to stay connected with this technological world.
